Franco La Marca is a lifelong advocate for Chicago’s LGBTQ community. He currently holds several leadership positions, including Vice President Financial Advisor at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, Board of Directors at Center on Halsted, and a three-time co-chair of A Night with Oscar. Franco is proud to serve as Bernstein’s LGBTQ Community Ambassador advising LGBTQ families, nonprofits, and community leaders on enacting their unique values on wealth and philanthropy. His commitment to bringing financial literacy, education and stability to marginalized communities is one of his greatest passions. Franco and his partner, David, live in the Andersonville neighborhood, are active in yoga, crossfit, and triathlons, and love exploring Chicago’s vibrant food scene.
Myah Brown is a Trans Woman of color from Chicago’s South Side, and an LGBTQIA community advocate. Despite the adversity of poverty, homelessness, and harsh bullying for being a trans person, Myah discovered comfort, support, and friendships within Chicago’s LGBTQIA Ballroom community. Myah currently serves as co-chair for the Community Development and Engagement Committee of the Chicago HIV Integrated Service Council (CAHISC), was recently recognized by Windy City Times as one of Chicago’s 30 Under 30 for her contributions in LGBTQIA community work. She supports Howard Brown Health, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, University of Chicago Medicine, and Center on Halsted. This is Myah’s first year co-chairing A Night With Oscar.
A Night With Oscar Corporate Event Chair, Erin Clifford, is a partner with Clifford Law Offices. She began her professional career teaching high school English in Chicago Public Schools. After earning her law degree, she clerked at the Illinois Appellate Court, and was legal counsel at the Cook County Treasurer’s Office. Erin founded Erin Clifford Wellness Coaching (along with her lifestyle brand Rockstar Doggy Momma), is the board chair of Lawyers Lend-A-Hand, serves as a board member on the Friends of Prentice Board, as well as the Chicago High School for the Arts. Erin is a champion ally and friend of the LGBTQ community and Center on Halsted.
David Sikora is a long-time ally of Center on Halsted. For over a decade, David was involved in planning many fundraising events, parties and community outreach programs in support of Chicago’s LGBTQ community. He opened his first business, Progress Bar, in 2013, and was elected to the Northalsted Business Alliance board in 2014. David was elected to the Test Positive Awareness Network (TPAN) board in 2015, and volunteers each year for Dining Out For Life. David has been the national brand ambassador for Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka since 2017. He has been on the A Night With Oscar committee since 2017 and is looking forward to his first year as a co-chair.
