This program is part of The Ralla Klepak Performing Arts Program at Center on Halsted.
Youth and Family Services is proud to present our free drag education program, Dare to Drag! We will select multiple cohorts of interested youth to participate in educational sessions to learn about the basics of drag. These sessions include lessons in performance, make-up skills, dance, costuming, etc. Each cohort’s sessions will conclude with a “graduation" drag showcase, allowing youth to show off the skills that they have learned and introduce their drag talents to the world.
After weeks of lessons, our Spring Dare to Drag Cohort is ready to perform and show the world what they’ve learned. On August 31, join us in the Hoover-Leppen theater to experience the cohort’s “graduation” performances as well as performances from other local drag and performing artists!
