HPV Vaccination
Near South Health Center, 3525 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60653
Individuals ages 19 - 26 who have no health insurance and meet financial criteria may qualify for the Merck Vaccine Patient Assistance Program to receive the HPV vaccine (Gardasil) at no charge. Other fees may apply. Some vaccines are given in a series over the course of several months, which would require you to return to the health center to get the full benefit. The CDC recommends the HPV vaccine for young women through age 26, and young men through age 21. HPV vaccine is also recommended for the following people, if they did not get vaccinated when they were younger: "young men who have sex with men, including young men who identify as gay or bisexual or who intend to have sex with men through age 26; "young adults who are transgender through age 26; and "young adults with certain immunocompromising conditions (including HIV) through age 26.
