Offers Outpatient Mental Health Care and Psychiatry services. Hospital hours are 24 hours a day/7 days a week, but hours of outpatient services may vary. Call for an appointment or for further information.

Ruth M. Rothstein CORE Center, 2020 W. Harrison St., Chicago, IL 60612
Mental Health services are available to individuals receiving care at the CORE Center or their family members. Mental Health providers are available during clinic hours to perform psychosocial evaluations, access urgent patient needs, schedule out-patient therapy sessions, and make community referrals for mental health services. Mental Health providers also facilitate referrals to CORE Center psychiatry for consultation and/or management of psychiatric medications. Psychosocial support groups are offered to provide peer support for patients. A referral for bio-feedback serves can also be scheduled to support patients at the CORE Center.

The CORE Center's Screening Clinic provides diagnostic testing and on site treatment for most STIs. You can also receive counseling and information from trained health educators to help you avoid or decrease your chances of getting another STI or HIV. The following services are offered: confidential STI screening and treatment, confidential HIV counseling and testing, and tuberculosis (TB). STI and HIV services are available to persons 12 years of age or older. Parental consent is not required to receive STI and HIV services at the screening clinic. Walk-ins are welcome, an appointment is not necessary.

Chemical Dependency counselors are available to work with patients in recognizing substance abuse problems and community referrals for timely entrance into an appropriate recovery program. During clinic hours Chemical Dependency counselors may assess CORE Center patients for community referrals or the intensive outpatient program at the CORE Center.
