Center on Halsted hosts several peer-led Community Groups who meet regularly for discussion, activity, and socializing. The Center provides a supportive space for these groups to gather and collaborate within the LGBTQ and Allied communities.
This group meets on the third Tuesday of each month, adjusted for holidays.
The Gay Men's Book Group - Chicago is a free, open, monthly book discussion group. We welcome male-identified individuals of all ages who are interested in reading and discussing gay-related literature, both fiction and non-fiction.
The group meets at the Center on Halsted from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month. Conflicting holidays may require alternative dates as posted on our facebook page and the Center’s web site.
Books to be discussed are nominated by participants and selected by the group at our monthly meetings. In advance of the meetings, selections are posted on our facebook page and emailed to those who choose to be on our group’s confidential email list.
