DESCRIPTION
Center on Halsted hosts several peer-led Community Groups who meet regularly for discussion, activity, and socializing. The Center provides a supportive space for these groups to gather and collaborate within the LGBTQ and Allied communities.
This group meets on the first and third Saturday of each month. Come and hang out with other Trans, Genderqueer, and Intersex people at TQI Lounge - a stress-free and relaxed social environment with discussions about gender, sexuality, life, and so much more. Nothing is scripted or set - things flow as they do in life. No pressure, no expectations, we take you as you come. Hopefully, you'll leave feeling affirmed and not as alone as you felt when you came.
Partners, parents, friends, and 'allies' welcome, but understand that this is a trauma/trigger-'free' space where TQI community rules apply, even if they are not stated.
OBSERVER POLICY FOR THIS GROUP This community group is closed to researchers, journalists, students attending in an academic capacity, and other observers. If you fall into one of these categories, Center On Halsted may be able to support your project in other ways; please email communitygroups@centeronhalsted.org .
